Patented technology for maximum efficiency!
Simple biomass is converted into energy, and CO₂ disappears permanently. Our technology combines climate protection with economic efficiency: through controlled pyrolysis, we convert organic residues into high-energy gas and certified biochar, which serves as a long-term CO2 sink. Our system is designed so that it can easily be integrated into existing infrastructures for farmers, municipalities, or industry. What makes us special? We don't just think about tomorrow, we act today.

Our technology

Innovative gas purification. Gas with an energy density comparable to biogas. Capable of both base and peak loads.

Product
Organic residues are converted into pyrolysis gas and biochar
1
Organic residues
Biomass is carbonized and gasified in a pyrolysis process. Processable materials include all carbonaceous materials such as pomace, fermentation residues, sewage sludge, green waste, mill residues, and residual and waste wood.

2
Pyrolysis gas
This produces an energy-rich pyrolysis gas composed of approximately 25 % hydrogen, 30 % carbon monoxide, 15 % methane, and 25 % carbon dioxide. These ratios can vary depending on the process management and water content.

3
biochar
Another product is biochar, a substance whose applications are almost limitless. In soils, it has been scientifically proven to lead to the sustainable buildup of humus and an increase in nutrient and water storage capacity. Furthermore, it is arguably the most scalable solution currently available for the permanent removal of CO2 from the atmosphere. This removal can be traded via so-called carbon dioxide removal (CDR) certificates.

Four sources of income enable amortization after just 2 - 5 years.

Your advantage
Use several sources of income at the same time and combat climate change effectively!
Renewable energy (electricity, gas, heat)
€120,000 and €600,000 per year, depending on the size of the plant
CO2 - Avoidance of 500 to 6,000 tons per year.
The resulting pyrolysis gas can be used to generate and utilize electricity and heat directly on-site using standard technologies. Even at moderate energy prices, the amount of energy generated enables revenues of between €120,000 and €600,000 per year, depending on the plant size. Compared to the current energy mix in Germany, this results in a CO2 reduction of 500 to 6,000 tons per year.
Trading with CO2 reduction certificates
30,000 € to 800,000 € per year 300 to 5,500 tons of CO2 removed from the atmosphere
Biochar consists of carbon that was extracted from the air as CO2 by the plant during its growth. When introduced into the soil, it represents a permanent CO2 sink. One ton of biochar. This corresponds to between 2 and 3 tons of CO2 equivalent that have been permanently removed from the atmosphere. Negative CO2 certificates (e.g., carbon dioxide removal (CDR) certificates) can be issued and marketed via this CO2 sink. The market for CO2 sinks from biochar is experiencing very high demand, and even with a conservative estimate, we expect market prices of €100-150 per ton in the coming years. This will result in an additional revenue stream of €30,000 to €800,000 per year. Depending on the plant size, 150 to 1,800 tonnes of biochar are produced and thus remove 300 to 5,500 tons of CO2 from the atmosphere.
Trade with biochar
130,000 € and 500,000 €
The resulting biochar can be sold directly or further refined with technologies from our partners and then sold. The biochar market has high double-digit growth rates and is gaining increasing importance due to its excellent properties for soil improvement, nutrient, and water retention. biochar Soils become more fertile and resilient to the effects of climate change. The operation of an autarkize investment proceeds from trading with biochar between €130,000 and €500,000 annually.
Disposal costs avoided or collected
autarkize plants can utilize a wide variety of biomass. This includes biomass that is currently disposed of at high cost at the municipal level (green waste, waste wood, sewage sludge) or resold for very low returns in the agriculture and food industries (husks, shells, pomace, digestate, etc.). Operators of autarkize Facilities can enter these markets and collect or save on disposal fees. Depending on the biomass, this generates an additional revenue stream of between €50,000 and €250,000 annually.
