Your tasks:

- Implementation of electrotechnical installation in Ostallgäu

- Commissioning of customer systems on site

- Collaboration in the further development of the electrical department and its processes, including

- Carrying out electrical planning (control cabinet, circuit diagrams, sensors, actuators)

- Support in the further development of our automation software (Beckhoff TwinCAT)

- Collaboration in the development and implementation of digital service offerings

- Cooperation with software development in R&D

What you bring with you:

Must-have:

- Completed electrical training (e.g. electronics technician for industrial engineering)

- Practical experience in electrical installation and cabling

- Experience in PLC programming (Beckhoff) and willingness to familiarize yourself deeply with PLC software

- Knowledge of machine/plant control (ideally thermoprocess or biogas plants)

- Basic knowledge of mechanics and fluid technology

- Confident handling of E-Plan or WSCAD

- Driving license class B - all other classes welcome

- Ability to work in a team, hands-on mentality and desire to get things done

Ideally:

- Further training as a master electrician or technician in the field of electrical engineering/automation

- Experience in switch cabinet construction - alternatively willingness to learn this via external training courses

PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer (m/f/d)

Work location:

Marktoberdorf & home office

Autarkize develops modular plant solutions for the recycling of biomass residues. Our technology is innovative, efficient - and ready for the market. It not only helps to protect the climate, but also offers our customers an economically highly attractive solution to real problems.

Your tasks:

- Development of PLC-based control programs (Beckhoff systems) for our pyrolysis plants

- Implementation of process engineering principles in software for fully automatic system control

- Planning, creation, documentation and maintenance of automation software according to modern development principles

- Definition of the automation strategy and I&C requirements

- Cooperation with external suppliers of MSR modules (e.g. burner control) and with customers who operate control station software

- Configuration and programming of fieldbus systems (e.g. EtherCAT) and implementation of communication protocols (e.g. OPC UA, ADS) for networking with higher-level systems

- Support with commissioning - both at our production site and at the customer's site

- Error analysis and remote support for customer systems

- Collaboration in the development and implementation of digital service concepts (e.g. remote condition monitoring, digital twin)

- Support with the documentation and approval of automation solutions with authorities

- Creation and maintenance of detailed software documentation, functional descriptions and test protocols

- Management of external suppliers and freelancers

- Tracking technological developments in the market in order to secure the company's innovative edge (USP)

What you bring with you:

Must-have:

- Completed studies in the field of electrical engineering, mechatronics or automation technology, alternatively further training as a technician (electrical engineering / mechatronics)

- At least 3 years of experience in programming electrical control systems, ideally in plant or mechanical engineering

- Confident handling of Beckhoff PLC systems (Twincat 3, Twincat Hmi), also in safety-critical applications

- Confident handling of the common IEC 61131-3 languages

- Knowledge of I&C technology, mechanics and fluid technology

- Understanding of safety requirements in the area of machine controls

- Experience in working with external partners and in project management

Ideally:

- Experience in switch cabinet construction

- Knowledge of E-Plan or WSCAD

Frequently asked questions

Do you offer apprenticeships or practical semesters?

Training young people is very important to us! We are currently employing a working student and supervising a Master's thesis. We would also like to offer apprenticeships in the future. Please get in touch with us and we will discuss the possibilities together.

What should your application include?

Are you enthusiastically reading through our job advertisements but don't have your updated CV to hand? Don't let us slow you down, but send us a letter of motivation with your current job directly. We can then discuss at our leisure what we still need for the rest of the application process.

How does the application process work?

After our specialist departments have evaluated the applications, we like to start with a short team call so that both sides get a personal impression. If both sides can imagine working together, we will invite you to an interview. Depending on the position, we may also offer you a work trial.

Where exactly is Autarkize located?

We currently have our office in Lengenwang, but will be moving to Biessenhofen this year. Our test facility is currently located in Marktoberdorf.
